Open Label Testing

At last, the double-blind phase of the drug trial is complete, and I have moved on to the open label phase of the Pagoclone stuttering study. That means I'm definitely getting the real thing - not placebo - and I can finally get a clearer picture of what this drug can (and can't) do to help me control my speech.

Just a few days into it, but I'll be reporting back here soon.

  2. So do you think it works for you?
I just entered an update of my experience on the Stuttering Forum (knowing them it will actually be posted sometime in March (hopefully 2010!)).
I think it helps me somewhat. Am still on the 30 dose. Still stutter but it feels easier to talk and I think my stuttering is decreased. And no noticeable side effects yet.

  3. thanks Anon - I do think it helps me speak more fluently. I feel like I am stuttering less frequently and less intensively.... I am on the 60 dose now, will post about it soon. Thanks for reading!

  5. Thanks for your post. I promise to post soon, I've been meaning to sit down and write but...... anyway, here's the short version: I really think this works. I have been on the higher dosage for almost a month and I've been speaking much more fluently. Less stress in my throat. Still block, of course, but I feel much more in control of my speech. Will write more about this when I get a chance. Soon, I promise. Thanks for reading and thanks especially for taking the time to comment. Best, J.
